About the Foundations certification

Northwind Foundations is the entry-level certification for new platform administrators. It validates the core skills every Northwind admin needs: user management, course publishing, reporting basics, and day-to-day navigation of the Academy.

How to enroll

Enroll in Northwind Foundations to earn your foundational badge — open enrollment runs monthly. Click the Enroll in Northwind Foundations button to begin your certification track.

The certification is self-paced and usually takes 4–6 hours. You have 60 days from enrollment to complete the final assessment.

What you'll earn

On completion you receive the Northwind Foundations digital badge, which you can share on LinkedIn and which unlocks eligibility for the Advanced Administration certification.
